Mohawks are Milestones

So hair takes a while to come by in this family.  We expected it- Jared and I were both baldies until the ripe old age of 2! So when Indy's little wispy wings started coming in at one year I was excited!  I love to style hair and I couldn't wait to get my fingers into my own baby girls hair! Well, Indy's hair came in mullet style and by 2 I trimmed off all the baby ends and she had a cute bob with bangs. By the time she was three (See top pic!) I could do french braids in her thick white hair! And she loved it soo much as you can tell!
Libby's hair took a little longer.  In the picture of Indy getting the braids Libby at about 18 months is getting the classic ponytail on the top...  By that Christmas I think I got two little ponytails in her hair that looked a lot like Ellie's ponytails in Picture # 4! Ellie's hair took the longest of the girls and she is now four and I am still waiting for it to finish coming in! Ellie is one year in picture #3 and as you can see no hair to speak of but I could get it to mohawk.
Which brings me to the inspiration for this blog!
Milo is now 17 months old and has a 3/4 inch Mohawk! Hallelujah!!

Is there anything that melts your heart quicker that that!!

  1. I love Milo's smile! If your girls end up with hair like yours they will have gorgeous hair!

  3. He looks so cute with his little Mohawk! The good side is that you haven't had to cut his hair yet, its rough having to pin them down that little so they can have nice looking hair..

  4. Smiling with a binky; doesn't get more classic than that! I love the 1st picture where's she's crying but you take the time to take the picture. As a mom, I've gotta say, those ARE the best pictures!
