Father / kid campout

Jared is no longer left out from father/son campout's! I am so happy that some realized how discriminating a father/son camp out is... Our girls love camping, and being out in the wild, and doing all the stuff boys like to do with their dads! So being included in this activity meant alot to father and daughters!

Spagetti O's for the kids, and as the story goes Jared cooked himself a big steak...

Posing in front of the home away from home for the night with our neighbor Rory...

S'MORES!!! As Jared tells me: as soon as all the kids in the camp ground heard the rustling of the marshmellow bag they all came a running!!

S'mores, S'smores! Need I say more!!

I think her lips are actually stuck together with sticky marshmallow goodness!

Activities in the morning included bow and arrow making and shooting, axe throwing and Jared won a little axe throwing competion by getting his axe to actually stick in the wood!

And last but not least- racing!! Indy and Libby placed 1st and 2nd respectively in their own age groups! Ellie of didn't want to race. And Jared got 5th place in his race... and if you think Jared looks like he is in pain it is because he is! He pulled both his hamstrings in this race so badly that the backs of his thighs looked like someone took a baseball bat to them! Poor Guy!
But the camp out will definitely become one of the girl fondest childhood memories!

  1. Hey! I recognize that big ol' red Suburban behind Jared. :D

Kirsten was glad it became a father/sons-daughter campout too. She was able to go for the first time.

I love how all three of your girls cock their little hips. So cute!

  2. Love it! I was always jealous that they didn't have a father/daughter campout when I was young. Now my girls get to go too!
