Have you ever....

Been on a really, really, long road trip with 5 children ages 7 years - 8 months?

It is an experience I think every parent should have.

Here some highlights from our 12 hour drive to California.

Milo enjoying a bottle! He weaned himself on this journey. It was really weird... I have never had a baby wean themselves before. He would bite me everytime I would nurse him. I finally decided he was trying to tell me something...

Normal Indy...
Indy giving in to the insanity of being stuck in her seat belt too long!

Libby drawing.
Don't you wish you were here!

More yummy bottles!

Me, being trying to be Cool...

Are we there yet??

The reason Milk Duds are banned from my car forever!!
We are still laughing about it!

Thank goodness for the Golden Arches!!!

How did the pioneers survive without them!
Up next... Pictures of when we actually got there!
Yes, we did finally get there!

  1. Ha! Those are great photos. Oh yes.....we've been on many a road trip with all of the natives. Both sides of the family live far far far far away so all of our trips......look pretty much like yours......soda and chocolate (for the kids) are banned from the car....for much the same reason that you have posted here. Excpetion is mommy. My car means I get what I want, no questions asked or snotty comments from the peanut gallery.
