As soon as I hit 39 weeks I wanted this baby out! All the old wives tales weren't having any effect on baby Nash. I walked a ton, (and even did some running!) I ate spicy food, went on a bumpy ride in the car, swung on a swing, jumped on the tramp, walked around the block with one foot off the curb... Seriously, I tried everything besides castor oil and since I did that with Milo (and it worked!) I didn't want to deal with the effects of it this time around! I was just done being huge, uncomfortable, and tired. I was done waiting for this baby to come on his own! On Wednesday I called my midwife's office and asked if I could be induced and they scheduled me for Thursday morning. When I got to the hospital I decided that I wanted the baby here as soon as possible and that I wanted the pitocin and epidural stat! Everything went so smoothly I didn't feel any pain with the contractions, until I got to transition. I felt the intense pressure and knew it was time to push. I was rested and ready to push that baby out and sure enough three contractions later he was born! And he was perfect!
So glad to hear that things went well! Your family is beautiful!
