We had so much fun last week with Grandma Penny! We spent a lot of time visiting, talking and eating! We went and saw Despicable Me 2, we had a very competitive game of horseshoes in our back yard and we had a marshmallow roast at Vivian Park!
On the 4th Jared got up early and got us a great spot in the shade for the parade!
The girls talked their daddy into buying them some 4th of July crowns! Which means Jared is going soft in his old age... :0)
Then after the parade we went home and got ready to go up to Ogden for a Jacobson Family Reunion! Here are Jared's cousin Amy's kids decorating cupcakes.
There was lots of fun stuff for the kids to do!
And lots of good company to visit with, like Jared's cousins Amy and Johnny!
The weather smiled on us and it wasn't too hot! Here is Jared's Aunt Moana and her beautiful girls Denali and Emma.
Liam hit his head on a metal barbecue thingy at the park that day and had to go get 7 stitches in the middle of the party! But he was so brave! Here is Adrienne talking to Grandma Jacobson who celebrated her 80th birthday that week!
The day was very relaxing and it was good to catch up with everyone! One of the best entertainment of the day was when the "boys" (like Jared, and his cousins and Uncles) decided to see who could throw the Frisbee into the girls bathroom door from the top of the hill. It was a tricky maneuver because of the brick wall that goes around the side of those park bathrooms only gave them a small window of space that you had to get into at an angle. But Jared's cousin Johnny eventually succeeded! They almost took off Penny's head in the process but they were pretty proud of themselves!
We had a long drive home and got to watch many firework shows on the way home! It was a great week and a fabulous 4th of July!
