Indy went to Girls Camp!

Girls camp was the first week after school got out for our stake, so it really didn't feel like I had a lot of time to mentally prepare myself for my little girl to spend her first week away from home. We had to spend our time getting secret sister stuff, snacks, making sure we packed the right amount of socks and underwear.... Indy was very excited! She won't be an official young woman until her birthday on the 28th but since she turns 12 the month of girls camp she got to go! So that made it that much more fun to get to go to girls camp with all the older girls! She has lots of friends in our ward her age going and I knew they would all take care of each other! My good friend, who is also my across the street neighbor, Natalie, was camp director and many more of my friends were also leaders this year so I knew Indy would feel comfortable and very at home during camp!
It was really hard for me the whole week to not worry about her. I was 90% sure she was just fine but I still would worry about her at night wondering if she was missing all of us back home. We definitely missed her! I had a hard time because I always felt like I was forgetting something every time we went some where and Jared and I didn't have our babysitter so we weren't as free as we normally are.
But Saturday morning finally came and she arrived home! Jared and I had been in Salt Lake the night before and arrived home a little after Indy.  Jessica and Brandon were here with our kids and they said that Libby, Ellie and Milo all run up and gave her hugs and said how much they missed her. Indy on the other hand didn't miss us at all it seems. In fact she had so much fun she wished she was still at girls camp! She had an amazing time and I was glad that she was happy and independent while she was away from home but it would have been nice if she could have at least told us she had missed us!
