Whisked Away!

Lately, I have been so, so tired. As soon as the kids are in bed I feel it. Up until the kids bedtime I can go at full speed and not even realize how exhausted I am. But at about 9:30 my body begs me to lay down on my wonderfully, soft bed and that's it- I'm gone! And since I am a married woman this can cause problems. My husband has no problem with waking me up when he comes to bed (which is always late) and making ME, who is already asleep, scoot over to snuggle against him. Now you might think that this is sweet, and maybe in a different time of my life I will think it is sweet, but right now it makes me furious! So furious, in fact, that I have been known to curse at him- and that is so not like me!!! I promise!

And I think Jared has been starting to realize that I am in need of some real R&R! So on Friday he came home from work and announced that I was going to get some sleep! He had already conspired with my mom and she was on her way over to spend the night with the kids!! Whooo Hooo!! I couldn't believe it! I was packed and in the car in 2.2 seconds!! We stopped at one of our favorite places to eat in Midway called Cafe Galleria... Jared made this ring for me and it reminded me of the things he would do that I would think were so romantic when we were dating...

The food tasted better than ever. We got to the Park City Marriot at about 7:30 (This is my all time favorite hotel! I love the beds!) And that was the first thing I did! Plopped right down in the middle of the bed and ooooh and ahhed about how comfortable I was, and being in heaven and all! It was lovely! I looked at a better homes and garden magazine for a bit, then we watched a new episode of White Collar... And then everything gets foggy about this time, probably because I fell asleep- and it was only 9pm!! It felt so good but I kept waking up because I felt so bad for Jared... He had really wanted to go hot tubbing and we had gotten a room that opened onto the pool deck for that reason!! But I could NOT keep my eyes open! It was like an invisible hand was pushing my eyelids down and I was no match for it! But Jared kept saying- this is what I brought you here to do! So go to sleep and stay asleep! So I did! And it was the best 10 hours of sleep I ever had! Wow, I love that man!!

Night 2- With the kids!

The Marriott happened to be doing a promo- you could get the second night for only $10... So we thought it would be fun to bring the kids the next night to go swimming.
Lets just say it was fun... But I got half as much sleep as the night before and in the morning I couldn't wait to pack up and go home!

And special thanks to Nat for feeding my dog so we could go on night 2! Your the best neighbor!
