The Dog..

Most of you already know we got a puppy... We have had her since Milo's birthday 5 weeks ago. My sister's friend that is a boy, but not a boyfriend, couldn't keep her and Aubree asked me if I wanted her. Of course, there were a few obstacles. 1) Ellie is allergic to dogs, but some dogs are worse than others. 2)Jared doesn't really like dogs. 3) I already have my hands full without adding a puppy to the mix. But the prospect of a cute little puppy was too much for me to resist... So I conspired with Aubree to bring the puppy over on Milo's birthday and surprise us with her! Jared wouldn't be able to say no once he saw the happiness on the kids faces!
Well, obviously, the plan worked! He said yes! But he said she had to have a motorcycle name... I had already picked out the name Beatrice and wanted to call her Trixie. I thought it fit and I like it when dogs have old lady names, but Jared said no way! And we ended up settling on Harley.
Well... 5 weeks later.... I do all the walking, poop scooping, training, petting and loving. Jared never calls her anything but "dog" and stays as far away from her as possible. So I figure she is my dog. Not Jared's and not the kids... Mine!
So I have decided I want to call her Trixie... And Jared- says it's stupid, and people will make fun of me, and there is no way he will ever call her that!
And I say- I don't care she is my dog!
And Jared says- Put a vote on your facebook and see what your friends say!
And I say- Fine I will!
So here is the vote- Harley or Trixie?

  1. My Grandma's name is Beatrice Black Whitney and she went by the nick name Trixie! It's a great name.

  2. I'm used to Harley now, but I can definitely get used to Trixie just as easy. It is a really cute name.
