How to throw a Hawaiian Birthday Party in one day!

9:30 am- leave for the Dollar Store and Walmart to get supplies.

11:30 am- Start the cupcakes and while they are baking put together the party favors. Our were candy leis... Yum!

12:30pm- decorate the cupcakes with hibiscus flowers as requested by the birthday girl...
2:00pm- after a break to make some lunch continue cleaning and decorating
Here are my dollar store finds...
Luckily my awesome sis-in-law Jessica stopped by after work and helped me put the food together, Milo finally took a nap, and my wonderful nextdoor neighbor invited Libby and Ellie over to play... So the party was ready with time to spare when the guests started arriving...
7:00pm- Guests arrive and get pictures taken at the beach...
7:30- after my parents came by and picked up Ellie and Milo the party really began! Here is the girls digging in to a menu of Hawaiian Pizzas, Cheese Puffs, watermelon, and M&Ms...

8:00pm- the girls start the Hawaiian Scooby Doo Movie...
8:30- The cupcakes start calling...

9:00pm- presents and then back to the movie and popcorn...

9:30- the princesses start getting restless so I take them outside for some latenight fun until...

10pm- Time to go home.

11pm- Ahhhh! The party was a success I'm going to bed!

Next up... the rest of her birthday weekend!

  1. Carilynne -- you are a fabulous mother! The things we do for our kids. That looked like one awesome birthday party. I can't believe our oldest are eight this year. Seems like just yesterday that Tyler & I were going to Indy's two-year party over at Mary Henry's old house. My how time flies.

  3. You make it look so easy! I've seen that stuff at the Dollar Tree. I almost did a Pirate themed party for Erik because of all that kind of stuff at the Dollar store.
