Catch up!

Did ya miss me? It feels like it's been awhile, and that's so unlike me. The power supply on our computer stopped working. Or atleast that's what Jared told me to stop me from hyperventelating after we discovered the computer wasn't working! What would I do if I lost all out pictures?? Does anybody out there ever worry about this and have a solution that would help to put my mind at rest. I have lost pictures before and it's aboslutely devestating for me!

Here is what you missed...

Feeding baby birdies... Jared has this weird quirk, he loves frozen dinners, the cheap ones. Salisbury steak and chicken fried steak are his faves. Sometimes he gets a craving and will bring one or two home for himself. The girls immediately honed in on the smell of those dinners and he fed them pretty much the whole thing! He ate like three bites

Last week Jared's parents generously gave us their Christmas lights from last year. They live up by the Timpanogos temple and the icicle lights would always get blown on the roof... I was so excited, Jared has never put up Christmas lights and now there was no excuse! The night he brought them home he went outside saying he was just going to check to see how he was going to get up on the roof . I heard his footsteps up there so I knew he figured it out and forgot about him... Until Natalie texted me a bit later "Your lights look good" the text said. "My what?!" I said. When I walked out and saw this I almost cried!

Isn't he the yummiest baby ever! All 17 pounds of him!

Happy Lib!

Indy doing her thing.

Rory showing me the berries that keep her and Libby occupied for hours. I'm always finding them in the house...
Michaela my adorable niece!

More Mic...
Ellie swinging...
Milo's first time in the swing! He liked it for a whole 2 minutes!

  1. I burn everything onto DVD. Of course that requires a DVD burner (a good investment in my opinion) and a bunch of DVDs or CDs to burn onto.

  2. I've lost photo's over the years too. Makes you just sick doesn't it? A good reminder for me to make some hard copies!!

I love that last photo of Milo's toes. Such cute chubby legs and toes.

  3. Carrilyne - I loved the pictures! Milo is getting so big and so so cute. I wish I could hold him. Just before we moved our lap top crashed on us and thankfully Tim was able to recover my pictures. I was so sick and since then I have tried to improve making a back up. I've bought an external hard drive and store my pictures on that, I've also started burning them to a disc and sending them to my Mom. She is keeping a back up for me incase something happens to mine or my house while they are in it. Tell you cute family hi for us!!

  4. Wow, I miss you Carre!! Great pics! We lost our first 3 years of marriage due to a retarded computer 'expert' and that was the worst! Now we back them up onto cd every week or so. It seems like a waste of time and cd's...until something like your hard drive crashes happens!

  6. Love the pictures! What I do so I won't lose them is I have signed up with a backup service called Carbonite. If you go to www.carbonite.com for about $50 a year they will backup your PC's internal HD's....which includes all my pictures and music, and files. If you have a catastrophy, you would be able to download your files back to the fixed PC. It's worth the money for the peace of mind it gives me. If you DO sign up, enter my name as a referal. :D

Just a comment on burned CD's. They only last for about 5 years or so, then they become unreadable. :(

  7. Fun pictures. Good to hear from you. Glad your computer is working again. :) Question- Now that Indiana Jones is cool again how does Indy feel about it? Jack said he was changing his name to Indiana and he hasn't even seen the movies. Indy is such a cool kid and I think her name is perfect for her.

  8. Milo is quite the chunk!:o) He must like your brand of momma juice. For picture back up, you need to organize all your pics into one main picture folder, like the "my Pictures"folder on your hard drive. Go buy a $50 protable hard drive, and each time you down load a months worth of pictures, after organizing them and saving them to your hard drive, save a copy of the whole folder to your back up hard drive. It is almost impossible that both hard drives will fail (die) at the same time unless they are both burned in a fire. Thats how we keep a back up, and in the worst case, you will only lose the pictures since your last back up copy if your computure or back up hard drive were to fry.

  9. I have to see your house. I have an external hard drive that holds everything. It's nice cause they are all together and I can take them anywhere I want and plug them in by USB. You can get a great deal day after Thanksgiving I bet!
