So I know you all want to know about Milo's birth... So it all started on Friday morning...
After drinking my cup of rasberry tea leaf tea, I went in for my 39 week appointment and had the midwife strip my membranes. She told me to go home and walk as much as I could. And I did. I walked a mile around my neighborhood while my nextdoor neighbor, Kari, had my kids over to play. Then I came home and cleaned my entire house- top to bottom, bathrooms and all. Then I drank more tea...
Then my mom came over and I drank castor oil... The taste was awful! Then I sat around waiting to explode... My mom massaged my ankles for me... And nothing happened for for like 3 hours and then I spent some time in the bathroom and was fine. Then I put the kids to bed and spent some more time in the bathroom... Then about 11 oclock I had started having contractions, they weren't too painful so I figured they would just go away... But they didnt.
By 2 o'clock I hadn't slept a wink and the contractions were getting stronger and I knew I was in labor. I tried to wake up Jared and tell him I was in labor but he was like-"No your not" and rolled over and went back to sleep!
I called my mom about three a.m. and told her it was time to come over. I finally convinced Jared to get out of bed, and as soon as my mom got there we left for the hospital.
A the hospital, I was dialated to 4cm and they got me in a room and got me my epidural. Then life was good, I rested for about 1/2 an hour then the midwife came in broke my water. Then we waited another 1/2 an hour and it was time to push! And at 7:08 am Milo Stephen Jaynes made his appearance into the world!
So there you have it! If you try every oldwives tale you know, all on the same day, in your 39th week- it just might work!
ha sounds great. So glad you didn't have to wait any longer.
